The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria after enactment of the Nigerian Content Development Act by the National Assembly in 2010. Functions of the Board include, but not limited to the following:
i Supervise, coordinate, administer and monitor implementation and development of Nigerian content as specified in the Act in the operations of operators, contractors and all other entities in the Nigerian oil and gas industry
ii Assist local contractors and Nigerian companies to develop their capabilities and capacities to further the attainment of the goal of developing Nigerian content in the Nigerian oil and gas industry
iii Monitor and coordinate the Nigerian content performance of all operators in accordance with the provisions of the Act
iv Conduct studies, researches and investigations that may further the attainment of the goal of developing Nigerian content in the Nigerian oil and gas industry
v Organize conferences, workshops, seminars, symposia, training, road shows and other public education fora to further the attainment of the goal of developing Nigerian content in the Nigerian oil and gas industry
